Our love story is a modern one, we met on an app! We had planned to meet for dinner in South Boston, and on the same day Rachel's CMO posted he had Celtics tickets up for grabs. She texted Brendan to see if he'd be open to going to the game, and while he was hesitant (what happens if the conversation dies and we're stuck sitting at the game together) he went for it! We met at Loco in South Boston in the middle of a snowstorm for tacos and a quick drink and made our way to the Garden. Parking was near impossible with the weather and the game, but it lightened the mood and gave us the chance to talk a little longer. Things went so well at the game that we went back to Capo in South Boston for a final final and we've been nearly inseparable since that night.

With house hunting being our main focus throughout the fall of 2020, we didn't get the chance to enjoy a few autumnal weekends in our favorite place, Cape Cod. Finally we had a free weekend for Columbus Day! We packed up the car and our beloved Charlie 🐾 and made our way to Dennis. We stopped along the way for a few snacks, Rachel was particularly hungry that day, and made a quick lunch at Wild Hunter. With bellies full, we made our way to the beach. Brendan wanted to drive but Rachel insisted on walking. Did we mention it was just about the windiest day of the year!? Once we got to the beach, we spotted some horses trotting down by the water line and made that our destination. The sand was blowing around like crazy and Rachel was actually the one that asked to turn back. Once she had her back to Brendan he called her name, and as she turned around he was down on one knee with the ring in hand. Completely surprised, she said yes! It was the perfect location, so special to both of us, and will continue to be our happy place.
