We met through Match.com. I joined to prove their “6 month guarantee” wouldn’t actually work but 3 months later I matched with Brandon & sent him a smile. Brandon quickly responded & a few messages later we decided to meet for dinner at Villa Christina. Conversation seemed to flow easily while we enjoyed a nice dinner. Brandon’s grasp seemed to linger a little when I dropped him off at the Marta station & I immediately knew something was different about him.
Brandon & I spent some time looking at engagement rings and I kept adding several requests related to how he would eventually propose such as looking cute, with my nails done, my sister from Charlotte along with several co-workers present, and not at a restaurant. Brandon took all that into consideration & planned an elaborate event complete with a photographer/videographer! That morning, he took me to the Millennium Gate Museum which he convinced me was for a special art exhibit. Once we were at the top of the building, the song “Keeper of the Stars” by Tracy Byrd started playing & he serenaded me while we slow danced. Once the song was over several of our friends & family came out from hiding to surprise me. Brandon unveiled a plate he had painted specifically for this event & got down on one knee. I, of course, accepted & then we celebrated with our friends & family at Barcelona Wine Bar, a local brunch spot after we took some nice engagement like photos. We’re excited to start to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
