FAQs

The Wedding Website of Rachel Pikkert and Blake Radomski
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Our RSVP deadline is May 1st. Reminders will be sent to those who haven’t responded. If we haven’t heard from you by then, we’ll assume you’re unable to attend. We’ll miss you, but we hope you understand, as we need to provide final numbers to our vendors

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to venue restrictions, we aren’t able to accommodate extra guests. Please only bring a plus one if it is indicated in your invitation email. If you have any questions, please reach out. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the venue no later than 4:00 PM so we can start our celebration on time!

Question

Is the ceremony being held outdoors?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to be held outdoors (weather permitting) so please dress accordingly. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the reception hall. In that case, all guests will be notified and asked to step out after the ceremony to return later on to allow the staff time to prepare the space for the reception. The venue has an on-site restaurant, and there are many more nearby that would be happy to welcome you during this time.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love for our guests to join us in garden party attire! Gentlemen: button-down or polo shirt with dress pants or dressy shorts. Ladies: a cocktail dress or dressy separates would be perfect. Flat heels are recommended for the lawn.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We wish we could celebrate with everyone's children, but due to space limitations at our venue, we can only invite the children of our wedding party. We understand this may affect your plans, and we appreciate your understanding.

Question

Is there a cocktail hour?

Answer

After the ceremony, you’re welcome to stay on-site for light refreshments and lawn games while the couple takes photos. Or, if you prefer, feel free to visit a nearby restaurant or head home to freshen up—just be sure to return by 6:00 PM. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the reception hall. In that case, we won’t be able to host an outdoor cocktail hour. All guests will be notified and asked to step out after the ceremony, then return later on to allow the staff time to prepare the space for the reception.

Question

What about Parking? Is overnight parking allowed?

Answer

Yes! The Links has a large parking lot available for guests. We kindly ask that you avoid parking in the nearby residential area if possible. Overnight parking is allowed—just be sure to pick up your vehicle by 11 AM the following morning, as requested by the venue.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

No, transportation will not be provided, so please plan accordingly. We recommend arranging a cab, rideshare, or a designated driver. You’re also welcome to leave your vehicle at the venue overnight—just be sure to pick it up by 11 AM the following morning, as requested by the venue.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

We'll miss you, but we completely understand! If you're unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by RSVPing "no" so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

During the ceremony, we kindly ask that you leave the photo-taking to our amazing photographer, Miliena. During the reception, feel free to take as many photos as you'd like!

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

Dinner will be served buffet-style, featuring grilled chicken with a house-made sauce, along with a selection of sides. If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, please indicate them when you RSVP or let Rachel know via text at 403-304-9046

Question

What about drinks?

Answer

At both the cocktail hour and reception, we’ll have a toonie/three-nie bar! Well liquor, house wine, and select beers and coolers will be included at the toonie/three-nie price. Please note, the toonie/three-nie bar is cash only. If you prefer top-shelf drinks, they will be available for purchase at full price using debit or credit. There is an ATM at the venue’s restaurant, but it closes at 11:00 PM or at the venue’s discretion. Always remember to tip your bartenders!
