Our wedding will largely be held indoors. Following the ceremony, photos will be taken outside the church. Ccanapes and drinks will be held outdoors briefly at Quat Quatta followed by the reception held indoors.

Question

What time do I need to arrive at the church?

Answer

Please arrive from 2:30 pm. All guests must be seated by 2:45 pm.

Question

May I take photos during the church ceremony?

Answer

Feel free to take photos and videos from your seat. We have a professional photographer there to capture every moment, so we just ask that you stay seated during the ceremony and keep phones and cameras tucked in rather than reaching into the aisle. We also kindly ask that you remain in your rows as we make our exit. We'd love for our photographer to capture that moment without phones or people in the aisle.

Question

Answer

The church ceremony will conclude at approximately 4:00 pm. Following the ceremony, photos will be taken outside the church with family and friends until 4:30 - 4:45 pm.

Answer

Please arrive from 5:45 pm. Canapes and drinks will be held in the courtyard at 6:00 pm.

Question

What should I do after the church ceremony and before the reception commences?

Answer

By car or rideshare, it takes approximately 30 minutes to get to Quat Quatta from the church. Public transport will take a little longer, particularly if you stop along the way. If there is time before the reception, we'd suggest making your way towards Ripponlea after the ceremony - there's no shortage of wonderful places to enjoy a drink or two, and you'll be perfectly placed to arrive at Quat Quatta refreshed and on time. 1. Ripponlea Food & Wine (15 Glen Eira Rd, Ripponlea) - next to Ripponlea Train Station and a 2 minute walk to Quat Quatta. Ripponlea Food & Wine have happy hour from 5:00 - 6:00 pm on Saturdays. 2. Antique Bar - near Elsternwick Station. You can take the train back to Ripponlea Station followed by a 3 to 5 minute walk. Alternatively, it is a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk. 3. Elsternwick Hotel - next to Stop 42 (Hotham St / Brighton Rd) on Tram 67. You can jump back on Tram 67 to get to Quat Quatta - get off at Stop 39 (Glen Eira Rd / Brighton Rd) followed by a 5 minute walk. 4. Glen Huntly Rd strip - there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. in this area (which is also close to Option 3 - Elsternwick Hotel mentioned above). 5. Rippon Lea Estate - if the weather is kind, the gardens at Rippon Lea Estate are beautiful to explore. Please note there is a general admission fee of $15 per adult, payable at the Gatehouse on arrival - no advance booking required. Rippon Lea Estate is a 5 minute walk away from Quat Quatta.
