We recommend staying in Marion, IL (25 minutes from Harrisburg) for the best hotel options. It is also on the way down to Harrisburg if you are driving from St. Louis. There is a Fairfield Inn, Marriott, Drury Inn, and more. If you want to stay closer to Harrisburg, we would recommend Airbnbs nearby and cabins near Shawnee National Forest.
