For those who would like to join us, we'll have an aufruf, a chance for Rachel and Allen to say a short blessing, at Nehar Shalom, our local, down-to-earth synagogue, followed by snacks and socializing with the community.
Lunch in the Park

Casual
We'll be having a casual bagel lunch, by Jamaica Pond, on Francis Parkman Drive (if you're familiar with the pond, it is the grassy area near the beach). This is a chance for all our extended community to spend time with each other outside of the wedding-- we hope you'll all drop in! Note that it will be a picnic on the grass-- we'll have chairs for those who need them, but not for everyone. The park is approximately a ten-minute walk from synagogue, and twenty-five minutes' walk from the Hilton Garden Inn. See here for the Google Maps location:

Rachel & Allen's Wedding

Semi-formal (a suit or blazer with dress pants, tie optional; a knee- or midi-length dress or jumpsuit). But we will be thrilled to see whatever you wear, we promise :)
The main event! We'd love to celebrate with you. Here's what to expect: The festivities will start at 4:00pm, when Allen and Rachel will each host their own tisch (טיש), a pre-wedding gathering for Allen and Rachel's friends and family celebrate each of them as individuals with songs and speeches. They'll take place in separate, indoor spaces, and you're welcome to join either or both tischen, whatever your gender. The ceremony itself will start outside at around 5:00pm, weather permitting. The outside area is covered in grass. The reception venue is indoors and air-conditioned. Additional space will be available outside under a tent. There's an ADA-compliant restroom. A kosher vegetarian dinner will be served buffet-style, along with beer, wine, soft drinks, and JP Licks ice cream!
