Bride
She is beauty, she is grace, she is gettin' cake in the face! This woman, best friend, scholar, and fellow shenanigan co-conspirator has added so much value to my life in ways that I could never have imagined. All of the memories that we have created together have shaped me into the man that I am today and I am grateful for growth, patience, and love that this wonderful partner has inspired and cultivated in me. - Alexander
Groom
I don't even know what to write here to be honest! And I don't think whatever I do write will ever truly encompass all my thoughts and feelings towards my future husband. But here goes. I love this man so much. No one in my life has mattered to me as much as he does. He has risen to every occasion, and has grown so much since I first started dating him. But there are things about him that I feel will always be consistent. He is the epitome of extra. He is extra charismatic, funny, handsome, energetic, creative, kind, capable, and intelligent. I know one day, if we decide to have children he will be the best co-parent I could ask for. (He may even be better than me!) And I know he will be the textbook definition of an extra dad, which will give me years of laughter. - Rachel
Maid of Honor
My Artsy BFF Alexandra is one of the most authentic, kind-hearted, intelligent, sexy, stylish, and giving people I know. She lives her life to the fullest, and it is always a joy and a honor to be apart of it. We met when I finally decided to sit in the back of the classroom during our art renaissance class at Portland State University. I first noticed her fierce style and methodical note taking, and thought, "Damn! She a boss. I best not annoy her while looking up art history memes." Little did I know then I would ask her 6 months later to be one of my maids of honor, and being sharing said memes with her. I couldn't have "maid" a better choice for Alexandra to be in my wedding! - Rachel
Maid of Honor
My Fellow Warrior I met Kait through Alex at the Portland Farmers Market while I was working there. I'll never forget first meeting her in her big sun hat and with her friendly smile. As I have gotten to know her she has shown me just how amazingly brave, beautiful, persistent, kind, forgiving, and emphatic she is. In the past years, Kait and I both have faced some difficult circumstances in our lives that frankly would cause most people to grow apart. I am glad that we are too stubborn to let that happen. I am so happy she can be my maid of honor and one of my best friends to this day. - Rachel
Best Man
The man, the myth, the legend; the person who raised me into the man I am today. He's been with me throughout every season of my life and has always been a figure that I've been able to learn from -both by example and mistakes. I've come to love, respect, and appreciate every decision that he has made in his life as it all grew and guided me towards a gratefulness that can only come from God. I love this man for everything he stands for and all he is; a man after God's own heart. - Alexander
Bridesman
My new sister (1/3)! Alessandra is an absolute light to be around. She is extremely talented, and has overcome so much to be where and who she is today. She inspires me constantly. She is also kind, warm, passionate, funny, beautiful, stylish, and loving. You can always tell when something was done by her because she has a special touch whenever she interacts with anyone or anything for the better. I don't know if I will ever be 'squad' level, but I still couldn't be more proud to be one of her sisters. I am excited to see what the future holds for her and where she will go. - Rachel
Bridesmaid
My new sister (2/3)! Genny was one of my first connections with the Cubillas family, and now is a dear friend. Genny and mines relationship didn't happen in an instance but developed slowly like a rose blooming, and I will always remember that fondly. She has always made me feel warm and welcome, and I love that we can be awkward, witty, and so so geeky together. She is extremely charismatic, witty, and funny. But besides that, she is also incredibly brave, responsible, loving, and kind. She is someone I can always call for study date, DnD, Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, a tea party, or for a listening ear. - Rachel
Bridesman
My new sister (3/3)! Cassandra's and mine's is another relationship that has developed slowly overtime. Admittedly, we both have been very busy since I am came into Alex's life/family with things likes deaths, weddings, babies, college, and etc. But through haircuts, watching her son Atlas, and just simply by spending time with and inviting her into my life, Cassandra and I have grown closer. She has shown me bit by bit how understanding, kind, caring, lovable, personable, and funny she is. I am excited for us to get into the kitchen together sometime, to build our relationship more, and for us to watch our future kids grow up together. - Rachel
Groomsman
Brother of Love The brother in my life from whom I am able to learn how to love unconditionally. This man has been through so much in his life and he makes the effort to smile and enjoy nearly every aspect and share that love with others. He's also pretty kickass at video and board games. - Alexander
Groomsman
Brother of Strength The brother in my life that has survived much and grown because of it. This man inspires and challenges me to aspire to his level of personal strength in many aspects. The strength in which he raises his family. The strength in which he pushes himself professionally. The strength in which he builds his faith. The strength in which he utterly destroys me in nearly any PvP scenario. He is a strong man who I am honored to call my brother. - Alexander
Groomswoman
Sister of Shenanigans There is no other person in this world that I could say has as much positively chaotic neutral energy as me. This ridiculously wonderful individual both passively and actively reminds me what it means to enjoy life and how to uplift those around you along the way. She has taught me that it's okay to process your emotions, both positive and negative, and trust in those around you to help pick you up again. I'm thankful for the experiences she has shared with me so far and I look forward to the inevitable adventures in the future! - Alexander
Groomsman
Brother of Possibility This brother and I have grown up with each other since we were both wee lads. I have been impressed time and time again with his tenacity and ambitious nature, always reminding me to shoot for the stars and not to let anyone or anything stop me from achieving my dreams. God saw fit to bless me with many brothers and sisters by choice, but I am truly lucky to have been given the opportunity to learn from this brother of blood. His only shortcomings are his 3-point shots. He needs to step that sh*t up. - Alexander
Groomsman
Brother of Song Music is the language without borders. Music is what can bring together anyone from any walk of life and truly convey one's emotions and intentions. I am grateful everyday for the experiences, memories, and emotions that this brother (technically uncle, but whatever) has shared and inspired in me. I know that I can express myself to anyone and share God's love to others through this medium because of the value that this man has added to my life and my skill set. I have an unending amount of respect for his humor and hymns...and his goofy face. - Alexander
Mother of the Bride
Well, I don't even know what I can say about my mom. There are too many words to say, not enough time or space, and words that aren't just satisfactory. My mom and I have had your ups and downs, just as any parent with their child, but especially if one of the children in the family has autism. But through her example, especially with raising me by herself, she has shown me so much of what is possible in this life. My mom was my first teacher and has given me some great gifts to go forward into my marriage. Such as kindness, compassion, honor, the power of a promise, intelligence, wisdom, loyalty, and above all persistence. - Rachel
Mother of the Groom
There are no words of my own that I feel are worthy to honor the efforts and love that this woman has raised her family in, so I will use those of the One who has guided her to such success. "Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.' Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate." Proverbs 31:28-31 - Alexander
Ring Bearer
The nugget of gold in all of our hearts, this young man is the little warrior who has been chosen to protect and bear the rings for our ceremony. - Alexander
Flower Girl
Justin and I met when I went to my first Easter-Pruitt 4th of July party. And let me tell you, there are a lot of Easter-Pruitt's. Coming from a smaller family it was a tad overwhelming. I first gravitated to Justin's mom Jackie, and through her I met him. Justin and I instantly recognized each other as simpatico introverts surrounded by lots of very extroverted family. So we hide in a corner, talked about being queer, golden girls, and other fabulous things. From then Justin and I have been each others anchors in family gatherings, and I have slowly seen him embrace his authentic self and live it daily. It is so beautiful- and at times funny -to watch. He is going into a new chapter in life, and I can't wait to see what it has in store for him. - Rachel
Officiant
Two Andy's! One we have trusted to lead us through pre-martial counseling, and making our relationship sound before we marry. We are so glad we did, as he has given us sound advice at every turn, and respected that we are an inter-faith couple. Both of us have felt that we have had the freedom to be ourselves and to be vulnerable with him as an individual. The second, is the patriarch of the Easter-Pruitt family. He has been a shining light in the dark for not only his flock, but also for his own personal family through his devotion to God. It has been inspiring to be witness to God's work through him, and we feel honored to have him to be able to take part in our wedding. - Rachel and Alexander
