We were completing our senior year (2015) at Grandville High School when we met. We first noticed each other in gym class, where Alen showed just how athletic he was. We also attended the homecoming football game, where we met up and exchanged phone numbers. That weekend was filled with constant text messages and phone calls. Following that weekend, we talked way more than we should have in every gym class and quickly became best friends. Falling in love with your best friend is unexpected, but so worth it.

On December 23rd, 2018, we were surrounded by family and friends for the reveal of the gender of our baby. It was shortly after finding out we were having a baby girl that Alen dropped to one knee, with tears in his eyes, and asked if I would marry him. Full of a multitude of emotions, I said yes! This moment was very special to both of us because we were able to share it with our loved ones.
