Micki Garland
Maid of Honor
Micki and Rachel met during their freshman year of high school while playing softball. While Micki and Rachel have been friends for 10+ years, Aaron and Micki have been friends for 20+ years as they went to St. Clair Elementary School together. You will often find Micki and Rachel scream singing Taylor Swift together: ask them to perform their rendition of “We Are Never Getting Back Together.” Micki currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA and works as a Urology Physician Assistant.
Alexander Bouffard
Best Man
Aaron met Bouf in high school during off season football weightlifting freshman year of high school. Rachel often gets jealous because if Aaron and Bouf aren’t playing ultimate frisbee, they are having 5-6 hour phone call conversations about Star Wars, Marvel, and NFL football stats. Alex currently resides in Waldorf, Maryland and serves as a member of the United States Navy.
Matthew Coyle
Groomsman
Matthew is Rachel’s younger brother and has become a younger brother to Aaron too. Aaron first met Matt in the winter of 2012 when Matt was 11 years old. Over the years, their relationship has grown into a friendship. Aaron taught Matt so much about the gym and personal fitness that Matt has become bigger and stronger than Aaron will ever be, and now he has tips he can teach Aaron. Matthew currently resides in Pottsville, PA while pursuing his degree in Business from Penn State Schuylkill Campus.
Jenna Ciecwisz
Bridesmaid
Jenna is Aaron’s older sister and has become a sister and friend of Rachel’s too. Rachel and Jenna became close during the annual Jones’ family beach trip to Ocean City, NJ where Jenna would third wheel Rachel and Aaron on the boardwalk. Rachel and Jenna bonded over their mutual enjoyment of planning Disney vacations. Jenna currently resides in Bethlehem, PA and works as a Pharmacist.
Maggie Smith
Bridesmaid
Rachel met Maggie at WEPO ‘15 at the start of their freshman year of college. The two bonded as they suffered their way through the architectural engineering mechanical option together for 5 years. Maggie comes off as sweet and wholesome, but don’t be fooled, she is always ready for a good time, especially if it’s Halloween at Champs Downtown. Maggie currently resides in Harrisburg, PA and works as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Laura Hinkle
Bridesmaid
Laura and Rachel met at WEPO’15 at the start of their freshman year of college where both studied architectural engineering. While studying AE together built a solid foundation for a friendship, nothing brought them closer together than their study abroad experience in China. Ask them to tell you about the time they almost died on a bus or their worst bike ride experience ever. Laura currently resides in Portland, Oregon and recently received her PhD in Architectural Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. (Congrats Dr. Hinkie!)
Sam Dwzill
Bridesman
Sam met Rachel after Rachel, Maggie, and Laura bullied Sam (and Christian) into being their friend junior year of college - creating the friend group known as the Needy AE’s. Sam and Rachel have shared trauma that bonds them together after staying up 49 hours straight to finish their architectural engineering group thesis project together. Sam currently resides in Seattle, WA and works as a Construction Project Manager.
Cody Lubinsky
Groomsman
Cody and Aaron met in kindergarten at St. Clair Elementary and have been friends ever since. From hanging out at each other's houses as kids to skiing together in high school to visiting each other in their post-college cities, they have been able to stay close friends for 20+ years. Cody currently resides in Philadelphia, PA and works as a Scientist II.
Derek Weicikosky

Derek and Aaron met their senior year of high school while attending Rachel’s softball games. When Derek is out having a good time, be sure to have Aaron with him because Aaron is the only person who can wrangle Derek’s alter ego, Officer Dirk. Derek resides in Orwigsburg, PA and works as a police officer.
Nathaniel Stoll
Groomsman
Nathaniel and Aaron met during their co-op/internship in Wisconsin and became even closer friends once Nathaniel moved down to Houston and eventually became roommates with Aaron. Nathaniel likes yard sales, hates sleeping in beds, loves minivans, and wants you to hug him at the reception. Nathaniel resides in Decatur, IL and works as an Electrical Engineer.
Alex Caputo
Groomsman
Alex and Aaron met when they were roommates during their summer internship in Detroit and became even closer friends when they returned to Penn State together. Alex and Aaron are always looking to maximize a good time; sometimes this leads to incredible karaoke performances, and sometimes it leads to the most dangerous Jenga game ever created. Alex resides in Atlanta, GA and is pursuing his PhD in Material Science from Georgia Tech.
Diego Lopez
Groomsman
Diego and Aaron first met during their summer internship in Detroit and became closer friends when Aaron moved to Houston and Diego finished school at Texas A&M. Throughout the years, Aaron has seen Diego master so many new skills: how to use a fire extinguisher, how to start a fire, and what the proper order of those should probably be. Diego currently resides in Jacksonville, FL and works as a Production Engineer.
Sully Mickonis
Honorary Groomsman
Sully Mickonis is the son of Aaron and Rachel. They adopted Sully when he was just a kitten in summer 2017 just before starting their third year of college. While Sully will not be attending the wedding in person, he is thrilled his humans are finally getting married. Sully currently resides in Atlanta, GA and works on being as cute and fluffy as possible.
Christian Salazar
Officiant
Christian and Rachel met in a similar fashion to how Rachel met Sam - forming the Needy AE’s. Christian was also one of Rachel, Aaron, and Sully’s roommate 5th year of college and quickly became Sully’s favorite uncle while Sully became Christian’s favorite nephew. Christian’s friendship means a lot to Rachel and Aaron as he is always there for them when they need him whether it be checking on Aaron when he needed some help or watching Sully for two months at the beginning of covid so Rachel could be with Aaron in Houston. Having been such a great friend to both Rachel and Aaron is why they wanted Christian to officiate their wedding. Christian currently resides in Arlington, VA and works as a Construction Project Manager.
Carole Coyle
Mother of the Bride
Carole has always been the type of mom who drops anything to go take care of her daughter. She was always willing to drive to Penn State when Rachel needed some mom time and always went with Rachel to help start her new adventures. Carole is outgoing, silly, and the life of the party. Be sure to find Carole on the dance floor at the reception.
Michael Coyle
Father of the Bride
Michael is the type of father who always put his kids first. He always made sure Rachel had the equipment she needed for softball and the supplies she needed for school. He always encouraged her to pursue a college degree to make sure she was able to succeed wherever life took her. Whenever Rachel needed someone to calm her down when college got tough, she knew she could call her dad. If you’ve ever wondered where Rachel’s personality traits come from, go talk to Michael. And be sure Michael always has a Landshark beer in his hand at the reception.
Sandra Mickonis
Mother of the Groom
While most people know her for her Mrs. Mickonis’s cupcakes, most people do not know that she is extremely caring toward her children and all children she teaches at St. Clair Area School District. If there is ever anything Jenna or Aaron need, Sandee makes sure they had 20 of them. Sandee always made sure to teach her kids not only how to become good students and smart, responsible adults, but always instilled good morals and values into her kids as well. She knew it wasn’t enough to just have academically smart children but socially intelligent children as well.
David Mickonis
Father of the Groom
Growing up, Dave coached Aaron in all of his sports teams, where he taught Aaron the values of dedication, patience, and fortitude. Dave also made sure to take Aaron to as many Penn State football games as possible and become a diehard PSU fan, which also helped Aaron learn dedication, patience, and fortitude. Even now Dave continues to teach Aaron new tricks - from investing to manufacturing to finding the best IPAs. Whenever big decisions come up in life, Aaron trusts his dad to be level-headed and help guide him in the right direction.
