Wedding Party

Just a few of our closest friends.

VIckie

Matron of Honor

Vickie and Rachel met in preschool at the tender age of 2, and have been inseparable ever since. From playing viola together in middle school orchestra to wild trips to Knoebels, to Vickie's wedding and more, they have always been there for each other.

Dani

Best Man

Dani and Aaron have been best friends and honorary brothers for their entire lives. Dani’s confidence, determination, and ability to lighten the mood of any situation are just a few qualities that make him an ideal Best Man. He’s travelled and lived across the country, from the Philly suburbs to Austin to Seattle, finally arriving in Los Angeles where he continues to explore his creative goals while refining the techniques needed for success in the world of acting. Dani has time again helped Aaron out by sharing sound advice, encouragement, and countless laughs. Whether referencing classic Simpsons episodes, attending the ballet together, or conspiring to smuggle Aaron to his house in the back of the Miller family station wagon as kids, the two have been through thick and thin together.

Abby

Bridesmaid

Abby and Rachel met in middle school, but became good friends in high school, where Rachel's ability to sleep through any class intrigued Abby. While living in Philly at the same time after college, they explored the city together and experimented with many delicious (and some not-so-delicious) recipes. They also lived in the DC metro area together for a time, where they were able to try out the best that Reston, Takoma Park, and DC had to offer. They are sad to live in separate metro areas now, but can't wait to get together once again to celebrate Rachel's wedding!

Ari

Groomsman

Our groomsman Ari is like a slightly older brother to Aaron and an actual one to Dani. After living in Israel, Ari returned to the U.S., resolved to become a chef. Years of sweat, training, and collaboration have led to him owning the acclaimed restaurant, Musi Philly, where he crafts “Relationship Cuisine” featuring the delicious and ever-evolving Frizwit menu. Some of Aaron’s earliest childhood memories include Ari, who has proven to be a loyal lifelong friend with unique perspectives, familiarity with the best nearby eateries, and a knack for bringing attention to both the cool and absurd here and during his international travels.

Janna

Bridesmaid

Janna and Rachel became friends in high school, where Janna was very impressed that Rachel could snooze through most of her classes and still do very well. Janna has taught Rachel many things over the years including that pomelos are a cool fruit and that blue is the best color, for which Rachel is very appreciative. Rachel also stole most of this description from Janna's wedding website.

Lauren

Groomswoman

Lauren has known Aaron since the day she was born and is the best sister he could ask for. While growing up they could be happily playing a board game or watching a movie one minute, and having a tearful pillow fight the next. Lauren was definitely the more accident prone child (including the famous toothpick incident), but her strength and bravery always came through. Today, she lives in South Philly with her husband and fellow groomsperson Max. Lauren’s compassion, dedication, and patience come in handy when teaching first graders, as does a great sense of humor. Her friendly and generous nature have been indispensable in planning our special day!

Naomi

Bridesmaid

Rachel and Naomi met during Hebrew elementary school, where Naomi chose to remain friends with Rachel despite Rachel's insistence on bringing tuna fish sandwiches on every Hebrew school field trip. Naomi has since taught Rachel the joy of Armenian string cheese for breaking the Yom Kippur fast, as well as providing large amounts of cheese to take wild parties to the next level.

Max

Groomsman

If you ever need to know whether a plant is edible or poisonous, ask Max, environmental scientist, adventurer, and brother-in-law extraordinaire. His appreciation for gastronomical delights, natural beauty, and exploration are invaluable resources, but when he married Lauren, Max embarked on the greatest of journeys. Over the years, Max has become a true friend to Aaron and Rachel, always willing to help them, share info about a fun hiking trail, or relax and discuss the latest restaurant or recipe discoveries over a glass of Riesling.

River

Flowerdog

River came into Rachel's life in 2015, after she graduated veterinary school. Originally from West Virginia, she raced in Alabama before returning to West Virginia prior to adoption. With Rachel's help, she adjusted to her new life as a spoiled child. Together, they have been on many adventures. River is excited to welcome her new Dad to the family!

Leonid

Ringdog

Leonid Waltzer-Wolf, or Leo as he is usually known, was adopted in 2019 after diagnosis with a chronic congenital liver condition. Aaron and Rachel nursed him through puppyhood, eventually getting him the surgery he needed to give him a healthy life. They love his spunky personality, piercing bark, and moptop hairstyle. Although he is almost as small as the rings themselves, follow the shrill sound of his voice to find him as he walks down the aisle!
