During her junior year at Rutgers University, Rachel lived on campus with her friend Sam. Sam just so happened to be dating Joe, Greg's best friend. One of Rachel and Sam's favorite activities was taking dance classes together. One day, when Joe and Greg were hanging out, Joe received a video from Sam that she had taken from a dance class her and Rachel had taken together. Joe and Greg watched the video together, but Greg really wasn't paying attention to Sam. At the end of the video, Greg looked at Joe and said: "I really didn't pay attention to Sam at all, the girl to her right is insanely talented and drop dead gorgeous!" Joe replied: "Oh, that's Rachel, Sam's roommate. She's single, and told me that she's interested in meeting someone." So after Greg asked Joe "Why the hell didn't you tell me about this sooner?!" Joe and Sam made plans for Greg and Rachel to meet later that week, and the rest is history!
