We met on an online dating app (Bumble!) After losing a bet, Rachel joined the app and reluctantly started swiping, coming across Winston's profile. We matched and then spent a couple weeks texting before deciding to meet in person. The first date surprised us both at how natural and comfortable we both felt, and we ended up talking for four hours over dinner. We made it official a couple months later :) Through many more hours spent together, driving back and forth between Puyallup and Renton on an almost daily basis for the first two years, through school, career changes, individual ups and downs, a sick puppy, and lots of laughs, adventures, and heart to heart conversations, we chose each other forever.

2021 was a big year with both of us starting new jobs, Winston getting a big promotion, and us moving to a new home. On the day we moved into our new place, Winston casually suggested going to grab dinner and drinks to relax after a busy weekend of moving. After the last truckload, we got ready and headed to the place where we had our first date. After dinner, we headed home to relax in our new place, excited to start the next phase of our lives together :) Waiting on our doorstep was a beautiful floral arrangement (thank you Joey and Kelley!) with Rachel's favorite flowers. At this point Rachel knew something was up, but was not expecting a proposal :) Once inside, after a few hugs and kisses and a heartfelt conversation, Winston pulled the ring box out of his pocket, knelt, and asked Rachel to marry him.
