Things To Do

Whether it’s your first time in San Francisco or your tenth, there’s always something beautiful (and delicious) to discover. Here are a few highlights and some of our personal favorites if you’re looking to explore during your stay!

Streets to Stroll

Cute streets to stroll for coffee, brunch, shopping, etc: -Chestnut Street -Union Street -Fillmore Street

Golden Gate Bridge

Walk, bike, or drive across the city’s most famous landmark. It’s even better with fog.

Alcatraz Island

Take a ferry to the historic former prison for a tour with unbeatable views.

Fisherman’s Wharf & Pier 39

Yes, it’s touristy — but where else can you watch sea lions sunbathe and eat sourdough and clam chowder in a bread bowl?

Painted Ladies at Alamo Square

Snap a photo of the city’s most famous row of Victorian homes (and yes, the “Full House” house is nearby).

Walk Along Crissy Field to the Bridge

Start by the Marina and take a leisurely walk along the water through Crissy Field, all the way to the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. One of the best views in the city & our weekly walk!

Sausalito Stroll - Where Stu Proposed!

Just across the bay from SF, this charming waterfront town is perfect for a lazy afternoon of strolling, shopping, and soaking up the views. Our favorite spot is Bar Bocce for pizza & views!

Tennessee Valley Hike + Breakfast

If you’re up for a little adventure, head over the bridge to Mill Valley and hike one of the Tennessee Valley Trails — either an easy, scenic trail to the ocean or an uphill hike with awesome views of the city and bridge at the top! We hike this trail once a month at least!

Our Favorite SF Restaurants & Bars

-Original Joe’s (North Beach): Classic Italian-American, old-school charm, and great martinis. -Little Original Joe's (Marina): Warning - if you eat the full order of chicken parm, you'll need a nap right after! -Tony’s Pizza Napoletana: Award-winning pizza and worth the wait — don’t miss the Margherita! -Mamanoko (Marina): Cozy neighborhood sushi spot we absolutely love. -China Live (Chinatown): Open air, bustling restaurant -Howells (Marina): Our local wine bar (scene of the surprise engagement party!)
