About a half hour drive away from Crystal Mountain, Frankfort is a great little beach town along Lake Michigan. Go for the beach, swimming, and some yummy restaurants.

If you have never been to Michigan, this is a great place to hike and experience true Michigan beauty. A Michigan staple dare we say. Sadie and I happened to go here on one of our first dates! About 45 minutes away from Crystal.
Traverse City
Traverse City, MI
Another must-see in our opinion. Check out Old Mission Peninsula, known for it's wineries and stunning views. A few of our favorite wineries include Bowers Harbor, Chateau Chantal (Sadie worked there!), and Black Star Farms, but you cannot go wrong with any of the wineries. Be sure to also check out downtown Traverse City, for great food and drinks.
