At Policy, a bar in DC's U Street Corridor! Rachel was with one of her best friends, Nima. Rich was with his roommate, Tim. After arriving at the bar, Rachel and Rich found each other almost immediately and began talking. Rich asked if he could buy her a drink. The two continued to talk and figured out that not only did Rich live across the street from Nima, but he lived in the SAME building as two of Rachel's closest friends, Kharen and Cici! It seemed the two were destined to find each other. Rachel and Rich danced the night away, and the rest is history!

Rachel and Rich went on an annual winery tour in Charlottesville, VA during President's Day Weekend with good friends, Lauren and Bill. Although their two friends moved away, Rich continued the tradition by taking Rachel there again this year. Rich planned a fun and romantic weekend getaway. The morning that Rich proposed, they went out for breakfast and then to Three Notch’d Brewery. Rich then said he wanted to go back to the AirBnB, where a driver was waiting. The driver took them on a scenic route to one of the most beautiful wineries, Veritas, where Rich surprised her by getting down on one knee!
