A long time ago, the church pastor who did Rachel's baby dedication said "Some man is going to wait a long time for you." Well here we are! We are excited to take this new journey together! We are constantly amazed at all the moving parts and pieces that had to come together just so for us to have found each other. After not running for years, Quinn took up running again and found himself as part of the community at Run Hub Northwest (our local running store). Unbeknownst to him, Rachel started running after college when she needed a new goal in life with drum corps being finished. She found herself a part of the very same Run Hub community when she started going to group runs. After doing a training program together and various races and Run Hub events, we started to grow closer. Even though our Run Hub friends saw our future and were ready for us to get married in our first year of dating, Quinn waited until the time was right and proposed last Christmas. We are grateful for their blessing and support and we are truly in it for the long run!
We decided to get married at Black Butte Ranch in Eastern Oregon because Eastern Oregon has always been special to us and we have enjoyed many adventures from epic overnight relays to relaxing day trips. With all the uncertainty of COVID and planning a wedding, we elected to go with a small, immediate family only ceremony instead of waiting until 2022 or 2023. We wish all of you could come-we'll do our best to make the rounds to celebrate and have some special events planned!
We are grateful for all of you who have supported us through the years and we look forward to our future together!
