We’re thrilled you’ve made it to our site! For convenience to our friends and family who are coming from far away, we’ve gone paperless (environmental bonus!) and compiled all the information you should need here (including RSVPs). Please don't hesitate to contact one of us if you have any questions.
As many of you know, we are extensively renovating our first (owned) house. Therefore, our registry includes more traditional household items OR an option to contribute to the House Project if you wish. Since we are doing much of the work ourselves, any contribution will be directly used to buy building materials that will, quite literally, put a roof over our heads. Many neighborhoods in Philly, including ours, are “in transition” and we are a part of that in some way. We have been very blessed, and we want to share what we can at this time. For those who contribute to the house, we will donate 10% of the funds to the Public Interest Law Center and/or the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association. The Public Interest Law Center survives on donations, and they work to advance the civil, social and economic rights of communities in Philly facing discrimination, inequality, and poverty. They work on environmental justice issues (close to my heart), healthcare, housing and public education among other things. The NoLibs Neighbors Association is a charitable organization that works on a variety of issues in the neighborhood including promoting diversity and affordable housing and advocating for green spaces and sustainable “green” development (which we hope to also integrate into our house). Whether you wish to assist us in making our house a home, or in just making our house a house, we are grateful and humbled. We love you all, we love each other, and we can’t wait to celebrate on November 25!! Thank you!
