How We Met

First comes school, then comes marriage

This is the story of how a loud, geeky boy met a quiet, bookish girl. It all started with a house -- The Yellow House Christian Student Center (YH) in Nacogdoches, Texas. Perhaps it was fate that Blaine decided to attend his alma mater for his graduate studies, where a pretty blonde was close to finishing her undergraduate degree. It definitely wasn’t love at first sight, though. Their first encounter was an awkward “hi” when Blaine happened to walk in on the new YH Secretary receiving her office training. Blaine quickly befriended Rachel and her group of friends at the Yellow House. He later learned of his future bride’s addiction to Chick-fil-a and surprised her with lunch, sparking a deeper connection between the two. Blaine once admitted to a friend that Rachel was the only girl at the Yellow House he would ever consider dating. Many cups of coffee, Yu-Gi-Oh cards, and episodes of “Gilmore girls” later, Blaine asked Rachel to be his wife. Neither of them had ever dreamed that a big, yellow building would end up changing their lives forever.
