Bart and Rachel were introduced by his family friends and Rachel's at the time neighbor, the Maruts. Rachel didn't make it easy for Bart. They first went on a double-date with Sylwia and her now husband Matt. When Bart and Rachel went to schedule their first official date, Rachel cancelled... a lot. Bart even admits he typically wouldn't have stuck around for all of the back and forth, but he saw something different in Rachel. They finally made it out on their first official date, Fro-Yo, where Bart admitted he had never dated an old lady (Bart claims he meant to say older but the jury is out on that one); and they have been inseparable ever since. Their second date was at a restaurant in New Hope, PA and the day after they went back to New Hope to walk around town with Rachel's dog Tilly. A month later they went on a staycation where they explored NYC and walked the halls of The Museum of Natural History, focusing on the Hall of Gems and Minerals. The couple visited the iconic Love Park in Philly, PA where they took a photo that hard launched their relationship to friends and family on social media (in typical millennial fashion) and spent the rest of the time building legos, watching movies and playing with Tilly and Rachel's 2 cats. From that point on Rachel's apartment became Bart's too. In December of 2023 Rachel watched on Facetime while Bart's brother Nicky proposed to his now wife, Katelyn. In February of 2024, Bart accompanied Rachel to her brother's small wedding ceremony. It was clear that not only did Bart and Rachel love each other, so did their families. Fast forward to June of 2024, Bart and Rachel moved into their first home and grew their family by 4 paws when Bart's German Shepherd, Simba, moved in to their house. In August of the same year Bart joined Rachel's family on his first voyage to the US Open and found his like for tennis and love for the Honey Deuce. In October, Rachel came home after spending some time with Bart's sister Olivia and was surprised by rose petals leading to the back yard. With their favorite song playing in the background, Bart got down on one knee by the beautiful tree in their backyard and he proposed with the ring he designed all on his own. They started to put together the plans of their wedding but a surprise guest was added to the list. Bart and Rachel found out about the impending arrival of their daughter. Knowing the celebration would not be the same without her, the couple decided to hold off on their original wedding plans so their daughter could be there to celebrate. Mia Pearl was born on July 3rd, 2025 and is the biggest blessing to their lives. Now with a full house and even fuller hearts they are ready to get married with their daughter as the flower girl. Bart and Rachel are so excited to share their wedding day with their closest friends and family and cannot wait to see everyone on the dance floor.
