We went here on our first date, and it continues to be one of our favorite places to go!
A food hall-style market that has many local vendors. This is walking distance from the hotel blocks and has some amazing food! Not at the North Market but close by is a sandwich spot called Wario's. If you want an amazing (but huge) sandwich, this is the place for you!
This is the neighborhood we live in! It's a historic, beautiful neighborhood with many things to do. Some classic German Village stops are the Book Loft, Stauf's Coffee, and Schiller Park. Some favorite restaurants and bars of ours are the Sycamore, Antiques on High, Brown Bag Deli, Katzinger's Delicatessen, the Daily Growler, Schmidt's, Lindey's, Cento, Cobra, and Lawbird.
This is a strip of restaurants, bars, and shops close to downtown that is fun to explore! Our welcome party is close to the Short North, so getting dinner here before the party would be convenient. Some of our favorites in the Short North are Marcella's, Arch City Tavern, Bakersfield, Forno, Hubbard Grille, the Eagle, and Northstar Cafe, and Metsi’s.
This is a great spot for drinks! If the weather is nice, their outdoor beer garden is one of our favorite weekend spots.
This is a beautiful church in German Village if you're looking to go to Easter Sunday service.
Another one of our favorite weekend spots. They have a great outdoor space, but if it's too chilly, they also have a great upstairs bar area.
