Downtown Frederick
Downtown Frederick is a cute town in the Catoctin Mountain region of Maryland with over 200 specialty shops, art galleries, breweries, distilleries, and restaurants. You can spend hours (like we have) discovering local stores and finding gems in the antique shops. Some favorite food spots of our's are Brewers Alley, Jojo's Restaurant & Tap House, and Cafe Nola!
Cunningham Falls State Park
Get your nature fix in one of Marylands gorgeous state parks. This is one of Rachel's favorite spots for a waterfall hike!
Various Wineries
This area of Maryland has tons of wineries to check out!
Harpers Ferry, WV
Harpers Ferry, WV is only a 30 minute drive from Frederick, MD. This town holds a ton of history while also sharing gorgeous views of the Potomac & Shenandoah Rivers along with the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.
Washington DC/Baltimore/Northern Virginia
DC is our home....ask us for our recs! We recommend visiting if you have the time....better than Baltimore. ;) If you want a larger city vibe that's only an hour away, DC and Baltimore are your best bets. One thing Baltimore has over DC is their aquarium if you want to visit with aquatic friends. If you haven't been back to NoVa in a while, it's also about an hour from Frederick.
