What should we wear?

Answer

We would love to have you dress up with us! The bride and groom will be wearing traditional attire. Remember that this is held at a campground with a short 5-10 minute walk to the ceremony location on a natural, dirt path. Keep this in mind as you're choosing your footwear. You're welcome to bring something to dress down into for later in the night, especially if planning on hanging around the campfire.

Can I bring a plus one?

As much as we would love to have everyone here to celebrate, it has been incredibly difficult to decide on our guest list. Please only bring those listed on your invite with a plus one only if indicated by the bride or groom.

What weather can we expect?

Answer

Colorado weather can vary this time of year and change quickly. We will post venue-specific weather closer to the wedding date, but please be prepared for temps around the 70s during the day and potential to get into the low 40s at night (hopefully not colder, but time will tell). Being on the lake, a cool breeze can sway temps. Rain storms can also move in quickly, so a raincoat is recommended. Keep in mind that we are sitting at 9,000+ ft elevation, so the sun is stronger during the day and sunburns happen quick!

Will the wedding have an open bar?

We will provide a limited amount of beer, liquor and wine at the wedding, but BYOB is recommended!

Question

Can I park overnight? Will there be a safe ride to/from the wedding?

Answer

The campground loop has plenty of parking if you'd like to leave your car overnight. Please plan a DD if you'd like your car to return to your home base with you. We are offering a taxi service from 10:30-12:30 and may have a few sober friends offering rides when they leave the party. If you'd like to use the taxi service, please let Rachel know ahead of time. Taxi driver's number can also be provided if you would like to book a ride to the wedding to leave your car at home. We are exploring a shuttle service to/from the ceremony and after party. Uber and Lyft are not reliable in the mountains. Please check back for more information as the wedding gets closer.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you have any specific dietary needs, please reach out and let us know. Vegetarian/vegan options are planned. Dinner will not be provided at the after party, but late night snacks will be!
