Who would've thought we'd find our soulmates in a co-ed kickball league? Big thanks to ClubWaka for bringing us together! In late 2021, Rachel moved to West Palm Beach and joined a kickball team to meet new people. Cam had joined another team that same season. Rachel missed the first two games, so her debut was actually against Cam’s team. After the game, they crossed paths in a parking garage. Cam joked, “Didn’t we just beat you?”—and that sparked their first conversation. A few weeks later, Cam was reffing Rachel’s game. She ended up on third base—twice—right where he was standing. She smiled and said, “You must be my lucky charm.” After the game, Cam asked for her number. An hour later, he showed up at the bar, and from that night on, they’ve been inseparable. ♡
On September 1, 2024, at Mount Rainier National Park, Cam asked me to marry him—and I said yes! ♡ We had been dreaming of a national park trip, so we flew out to the Pacific Northwest for a little adventure. After a day in Seattle, we headed to a charming town near the park and spent our days hiking, exploring, and soaking in the views. On day three, we planned a sunset picnic at Reflection Lake. As we walked around to find the perfect spot, Cam pulled out a ring and proposed. It was everything I’d hoped for—simple, beautiful, and full of love. The rest of the trip was spent in a cozy cabin near Olympic National Park—just the two of us, celebrating, cooking, hiking, and dreaming about the future.
