Hiking in Zion National Park

Zion National Park has a free shuttle system that works daily 8am-8pm. No personal cars are allowed inside the park for the Zion scenic drive. You can park your car in the visitor center parking entrance and shuttle your way through the beautiful Zion National Park. The shuttles take all visitors through the park, making multiple stops at the many trailheads along the way! Hiking in Zion ranges from easy Nature walks (Riverside Walks and Emerald Pools) to intense and advanced hikes (so worth it) such as Angels Landing or the Narrows. All hiking trail information is listed on their website.

Zion Canyon Overlook

This hike is a nice short-but-sweet hike on a maintained trail that ends at a great viewpoint looking into the main canyon. This hike is a short one with a length of a mile roundtrip and requiring roughly 1 hour of hiking time. To get to the trailhead, you need a vehicle to drive up Route 9 to the area right by the upper east entrance to the Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel. If the small parking lot on the south side of the road fills up quickly there are several small overflow parking areas further east if you are willing to walk the road back to the trailhead.

Electric Bikes

You can ride the bikes up scenic drive where you’ll find amazing hikes like Angels Landing and The Narrows. Explore smaller trails not accessible by shuttle to experience those magical moments of peace in Zion.

Horseback Riding

Horseback riding tours take guests for a scenic one-hour ride along the Virgin River, through one of the most beautiful areas of the park. It's also a popular family activity. It's advisable to book tours in advance to secure a spot.
