If you would have told these two that this moment, this day, and this union would have ever been remotely imaginable, they both would have laughed at you, yet, here they are. We oftentimes never understand Gods purpose but, he is the divine orchestrator all things. Several years ago both David & Racheal experienced utter devastation from loss and heartbreak. However, this was not the kind of heartbreak that hurt, it was the kind that changed the both of them. So much so that it led David all the way across the country back home to where he said he never return. All while leading Racheal into a downward spiral of rock bottom and absolutely no hope of a tomorrow. None the less, a career in addiction medicine. This led them both to the right place at the right time. A brand new recovery treatment center where they both just so happened to end up working. In the very midst of their time here, the two played a very keen game of cat & mouse. Not knowing a single thing about the other , other than the occasional glance by the man in the kitchen window. Months had gone by until eventually the cat came out of the bag. One summer afternoon David just so happened to be on the outside patio with coworkers and patients when Racheal and a close friend came to join. Needless to say, everyone had departed and he made his move. Well, the thing about the mouse, it is always on the run. The game continued for another several weeks as Racheal, full of doubt and fear, completely rejected David's attempts; until she didn't. One week in particular, David was off for several days and Racheal took an unusual interest in his absence. When she seen him return, she casually questioned where he had been. David, in response stated he had been off and his face clearly told how he was feeling in that moment in time. After Racheal walked away, she could not believe what she had just done. Fast forward to that afternoon, and after months of wrestling with herself, she finally caved and approached that kitchen window. She wrote her number with no name on a post it, handed it to David and as she walked away she turned and said "Don't make me regret this." Later that afternoon he messaged her. She waited in hesitation, but then responded. They spoke on the phone for hours and that night, she went to see him. The tension was high but she continued to run as the mouse does. After weeks of fighting against the grain, the rest was history. They spent every waking moment together, talking about their hopes, dreams goals, visions, faith, hurts, pains and everything in-between. Although the game was far from over, it added a new set of different and more complex rules. The two had to keep their newly found love a secret for quite sometime due to it being a workplace relationship, alongside family dynamics that they were very unsure how to navigate. However, after more months of building and prayer, the two finally became public and during the holiday company Christmas party, David proposed. Of course she said yes, without a doubt, and now, here we are, celebrating the union of a lifelong plan. The wedding of David Davidson and Racheal Anderson. The most unthinkable, unimaginable couple that God himself strategically ordained their steps through heartache, pain, devastation and confusion to put them both at the exact right place at the exact right time.
