Our story started in October 2023 in the most modern-day way… thanks to Bumble. Our first date was at Ambar in Clarendon, where I showed up fashionably late (about 15 minutes… but who’s counting) and Thomas was this close to leaving. Luckily, he stayed—because what was supposed to be a simple dinner turned into hours of laughing, talking, and not wanting the night to end. We ended up being the last couple there when they closed, which should’ve been our first indicator this was something special. Fast forward 3 months later, Thomas made it official—but in a way I definitely didn’t see coming. He planned a date night where we had 30 minutes to paint a picture. Naturally, I got competitive and fully committed. When the timer went off, we turned our canvases around—mine was (obviously) perfect—and his said, “Will you be my girlfriend?” Safe to say, he won that round. Of course, there was one very important step before I could be completely sure — Callie had to meet him. I fully expected her to bark and be skeptical (as she should be), but instead, she started wagging her tail and gave him kisses. That was when I knew he was the one. Now.. they’re inseparable and honestly cuddle on the couch more than we do. Since then, life has taken us everywhere from The Trevi Fountain in Rome to Colonial Beach in Virginia. Through busy seasons, new careers, travel, and everyday moments, we’ve learned what it truly means to support one another and grow as a team. Here’s to a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventures—and to the future Jenkins. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people who mean the most to us.
