Our story began in May 2018, when we were set up by my mom and Barrett's grandmother. Barrett flew down from Kentucky to Fort Myers, FL., and asked me to go to the best ice cream spot - Love Boat. After I met Barrett, I was even more excited to be moving up to Kentucky. Some of our early dates consisted of moving heavy furniture around the house and arguing about how to put together a dresser, but we both loved every minute of it and instantly felt like best friends. Our bond grew stronger as we traveled down to Nashville for weekend trips, rooted on the Wildcats in Lexington and Chicago, and saw Elton John in concert! After two years of building memories together and falling in love, Barrett proposed to me. Even though we were quarantined due to COVID, Barrett took me to a local park on Lovers Lane and proposed! I was so excited I don't remember a word he said, I just knew I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with him! We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives and are looking forward to celebrating with all our family and friends! Here's to forever! - Rachel
