Rachana and Ishan have known each other since the rough years of middle school when boys and girls still had cooties. They were forced to attend social events together, but never cared for each other's company. They ended up at the same high school, and even rode the same bus. Ishan would say that he attempted to make peace with Rachana, but all in vain. It wasn't until Rachana started college at the University of Florida that their friendship really took root. Ishan became one of the few individuals that really understood Rachana's dilemma of staying true to her values while still fitting in at UF. Ishan became the best friend that understood Rachana better than she knew herself at times, and Rachana became the same for him. From conversations related to satsang to studying for psychology exams to hanging out until the late hours of the night, their friendship truly became boundless. They did not realize when this friendship turned into something more. Now, Rachana and Ishan can truly say that they are marrying their best friend!
