We’re Getting Married

It’s no secret that we both have a love for hunting. We met in the fall of 2015 while hunting at Cemetery Ridge Hunt Club. For Josh, it was love at first sight - he was immediately set on getting to know Rachaell better. On opening day of hunting season, Dave and Josh were skinning a deer, and Rachaell was at the fire pit, sneaking glances at Josh. Dave noticed and encouraged Josh to go up and introduce himself. Rachaell’s brother Dillon and Josh already knew each other but he failed to mention that he had a gorgeous sister. They later got to know one another better during a turkey shoot. Rachaell later killed her first deer, and Josh messaged her congratulating her. They haven’t stopped talking since.

We both love the Outer Banks and enjoy visiting in the summers. One of our favorite places to get dinner is Tale of the Whale. Josh wanted to propose in a place special to both of us. He tipped the band to play “I was made for you by Jake Owen” and surprised Rachaell by getting down on one knee on the gazebo in front of both of their families. She was so surprised and obviously said “Yes!”
