When and where is the wedding?

The wedding will take place on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026 at The Seclusion in Lexington, VA (ceremony and reception).

Why a Wednesday wedding?
Answer
March 18th is our 'dating' anniversary! On our wedding day we will also be celebrating nine years together. This date is so special to us and after all this time, we couldn't imagine having a 'new' anniversary date. On our one year wedding anniversary, we will be able to say we've been together for a decade.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our ceremony will be held outside rain or shine. One of the main reasons we chose our venue is because of the insane backdrop of Virginia's beautiful mountain landscapes! Cocktail hour will be held under the veranda (fire pits will be lit with an attendant present) the remainder of the evening, when the party starts, will take place in the grand hall.

When should I arrive?

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm. We kindly ask that you arrive twenty to thirty minutes before the official ceremony start time so that you don't miss anything and can get settled before the proceedings.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Answer
We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us, let the professionals handle the pictures, that is why we hired them.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
Our wedding is going to be small and intimate with a limited number of guests being our closest family and friends. If you have received a plus one, it will be specific to your addressed formal invitation and under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding.

How and when should I RSVP?
Answer
To help us with our planning, please RSVP as soon as possible. The RSVP feature through our website will be accessible to guests as soon as formal invitations are mailed. The deadline for RSVPs will be set to January 1st, 2026. If we don't receive your response by this date, we cannot make exceptions and will have to mark you as "declined". We need to provide the venue with our total guest count in a timely manner, we hope you can understand.

Our wedding is exclusively for adults only with the exception of the flower girls participating in the wedding.

There is a designated parking area at The Seclusion with an ample amount of space for our guests to park.
