Ocean Drive & Thunder Hole
Pretty to drive through or park and walk along the cliffs.
Cadillac Mountain
This is the first place the sun hits on the East Coast. You can hike up or drive, if you're driving you have to make a timed reservation online. It's a nice place to pack a lunch and hang out at if you are looking for some views.
Sand Beach
Freezing water but beautiful and sandy. It's the first shuttle stop once you enter the park, it has bathrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off before heading back.
Carriage Roads
Rent an E- bike and explore the Carriage Roads of the park where no cars are allowed.
Kayaking
If you search Kayak rentals you'll find plenty of places on lakes or the Sea Kayaks
Schoodic Point
Schoodic is outside of where you'll be traveling for our wedding in the park but so worth it. We took a small ferry there and the boat ride alone was worth it. Link is here if you'd like to take the ferry. Less crowds and there is a shuttle that picks you up from the Ferry to bring you to Schoodic Point.
Side Street Cafe
Really good food and outdoor seating. The BEST blueberry pie ever.
Rosalie's Pizza
Maine style pizza and nostalgic vibes.
McKay's Public House
Really good food and beautiful outdoor seating
Mount Dessert Bakery
Good coffee and bagels/ pastries for a quick breakfast.
Cafe This Way
We haven't actually tried this restaurant yet but one of the employees at a restaurant recommended it as the best breakfast in Bar Harbor
