Question

Land Use Acknowledgement

Answer

We wish to acknowledge and pay homage to the original stewards of the land we will gather on to share our love with family and friends. We recognize the lands now known as the Plumas and Tahoe National Forests were originally inhabited by the Maidu and Washoe people, who lived peacefully off the land for over 2,000 years before being forcibly removed by colonizers and gold prospectors in the 1840's. We ask that you take a moment during your visit to honor their people and land.

Question

What is the Shuttle Schedule?

Answer

We have arranged a shuttle to and from Twenty Mile house from the Nakoma Front Lobby. Please keep in mind ride-sharing is almost non-existent in this area, though parking at the venue is free and available for guests. Nakoma to Twenty Mile House: 1st- 3:30pm 2nd- 3:45pm Twenty Mile House to Nakoma: 1st- 8:30pm 2nd- 10pm 3rd (final)- 11:30pm

Question

What will the temperature be?

Answer

Northern California temperature ranges quite a bit. Sunday boasts a high of 76* and low of 49*F, with Monday reaching up to 78* with a low of 51*F.

Question

What's the Dress Code?

Answer

*Welcome Ceremony- This will take place on the lower lawns of Twenty Mile House. Please dress comfortably! Jeans, t-shirts, kilts, summer dresses, etc are all fine with us! This will be an outdoor location with yard games like corn hole, ladder golf, and bocce ball available. *Wedding Ceremony and Reception- Semi-formal wear. However, this is again in a woodsy setting with outdoor reception and dinner to follow (so ladies- stilettos are probably not the move).
