It all really started in November of 2014. I was in Atlanta visiting family for the Thanksgiving, when Rashad kindly invited me out for a FRIENDLY dinner. Considering we've known each other since high school, we spent a good part of our time catching up. 7 hours fastly past and we finally decided to call it a night. I clearly said all the right things (I made him laugh) because he asked if we could get together again before I left. Needless to say, I was totally excited by the thought of spending more time together. So of course I said yes! Two days later, there he was whisking me away again. After we drove for what seemed like hours we finally ended up at his house. This was the beginning of a very bizarre, but surprisingly fun night. Long story short, while out getting food Rashad set me up to trigger his car alarm in a parking lot only to watch as I frantically tried to turn it off, knowing only he could. In the midst of the alarm chaos he turned on my seat warmer, the passenger heat up (to 89), and locked my windows so I couldn't let any fresh air in ALL while I held two fresh pizzas in my lap! Once we were back to the house, we didn't even eat right away. Instead he convinced me to play Mario Karts while the pizza and I cooled off. Taking it up a notch we agreed to play for shots..all he had was moonshine..well TWELVE shots later I needed to eat, so I hulk smashed cold pizza and refused to play the game any more. Rashad decided that despite being told I had a strong dislike for scary movies he was going to put in the scariest one he had! If you know me, you know I tried to just go to sleep. Nope, couldn't do that!! Instead he happily encouraged his (at the time very scary) dog to bark at me.why? Horrible Right?? Well apparently I loved it, because here I am 5 years later one child down, wanting more and happy as can be with my Lamb! You know, high buns, sneakers, and oversized hoodies may not have been his thing in high school, but its totally his jam now!!!
Once upon a time in November 2014 While Rachael was down in ATL visiting her family, we agreed to meet and catch-up with each other. The day comes and I go to pick her up but as she is walking to the car, I open the door for her (like a true gentlemen would of course) I noticed that her hair was wet. I said “oh is that the new style?” She then stated that she fell in the pond while trying to feed swans. While at the time I’m like how did you manage to do that, after spending 5yrs with her I’m now thinking how didn’t it happen more often. Anyways, I’m like ok you still look like a whole snack so don’t even worry about it. Shortly after, we arrive at Avalon which is a high-end outdoor plaza with food, shopping, parks, and a movie theater. We park and start to walk to the restaurant (her hair is still wet, but it’s ok we are strolling.) I guess she might have been strolling too hard because she ends up tripping on her own foot. Again, how did she manage to do so..5yrs later, not surprised. We decide to go to this burger place which had a nice outside sitting area. We placed our order and sat a bench outside next to the cornhole boards as teenagers were playing. Did we talk about them? Of course but that doesn’t matter, let’s continue with the story. As we were sitting waiting for our meals to come, we started asking each other questions trying to get to know one another more. We’ve known each other since high school but never really talked much. So the food comes out and honestly I could care less because the conversation we were having came so easily. She made me laugh, I made her laugh more (because I’m funnier). I honestly thought where have you been all my life. I suppose if I hadn’t thought she was a lesbian in high school because all she wore were big hoodies and a bun, this could of happened a lot sooner. We were honest with each other about our past and what we were looking for. Needless to say, not a day has passed since that we haven’t talked.
