We’re getting married!!

Rachael: Our love story started with the dating app Hinge. Patrick made the first move by messaging me to spark a conversation. We talked for a week or so and then decided that it would be great to meet one another. We planned our first dinner on none other than Valentine’s Day in 2020, as that was one of the only days we were both available. At first, it seemed a bit strange to have that be our first date, but I just went with it, considering I didn’t have high hopes for the dating world. Fast forward 5 years and here we are engaged and about to be married this year! We started our relationship a few months before Covid took over the world. During those months we spent a lot of time together at each others places and got to really know each other well and fell in love pretty quickly. Patrick has quite the personality and is always keeping me laughing and on my toes but his blue eyes are what got me from the beginning. He is caring, thoughful and loves me unconditionally. He has been my biggest supporter no matter what. Patrick proposed on February 15, 2023 when we were on vacation at the Atlantis in the Bahamas. I had an idea that he was planning something but I didn’t know when. We spent that day at the beach and the pool, when Patrick said we had to go back to the room and get ready. I didn’t know for what so of course I questioned it, and he just said be ready around 3pm and wear white. It was then that I had a sneaky suspicion of what he was doing. He took me down to the lobby bar in the hotel and we ordered a drink, he snuck away to “do something” for a few moments and then returned with a photographer from the hotel and said he wanted us to have some nice pictures together on the beach. We walked over to the lone palm tree on Cove Beach for our photo shoot. The photographer took a few pictures of us together, then said she wanted a few with Patrick in the background. It was then that he got down on one knee and the photographer told me to turn around to find him holding the most beautiful engagement ring and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes! Patrick is my soul mate and love of my life and I couldn’t imagine my life without him!
