We met at SPIN over a ping pong table… that KJ very boldly (and yes, a little obnoxiously) stole from me. What started as instant irritation somehow turned into a connection. From there, we became best friends, building a friendship rooted in trust, shared secrets, constant laughs, and showing up for each other through every season of life. People often wondered if there was something more between us, but we never gave it much thought. At the time, we were both in our own complicated relationships, just grateful to have found such a steady and meaningful friendship in each other. Eventually, we became roommates with our best friend Sam, continuing to do life side by side. Then, in what felt like perfect timing, we both closed those earlier chapters around the same time. Somewhere in the middle of all of it, we realized we had slowly been becoming each other’s person all along, like we had finally caught up to what the universe seemed to know from the very beginning. The rest is history!
