Rachael grew up in Emlenton and Josh grew up in Burnside Township, about two hours from one another. Little did we know we were in the same place multiple times and knew some of the same people. Josh had been in Emlenton to visit with family he had there. We went to two different colleges, but Rachael's best friend at the time dated a friend of Josh's he met in college. We were invited to some of the same things over those years but never ended up going at the same time. Growing up in different areas and going to different colleges, it is crazy to think of all the little coincidences and everything that had to line up for us to meet. Eventually after college, we did meet one another at that mutual friend's house and we began talking more to one another that fall, went on a couple dates in December, and were "officially" dating by January 8, 2022. For a couple years we made the 2-hour drive to see each other, rotating who's turn it was each weekend. Although, each of us believe we personally made the trip more often than the other. In the fall of 2024, Rachael proposed first by moving to Johnstown for Josh. Josh *finally* followed suit on August 29, 2025, proposing at a favorite hiking spot. Not wanting to wait any longer, we...well let's be real - Rachael...is crazily throwing our wedding together by April. We hope to have an easy-going, celebratory day with family and friends. We are grateful for each of you joining us to celebrate our official start to our forever.
