July 19th-21st Picklesburgh is the destination for all things pickled! Voted the #1 Specialty Food Festival in the Country for three consecutive years by the readers of USA Today, Picklesburgh goes beyond the dill pickle to feature handcrafted food and artisan drinks featuring pickled ingredients from local chefs, restaurants, and more embracing the farm-to-table movement. Plus, don’t miss pickle-themed snacks and merchandise, fun contests, and live music set to the backdrop of picturesque Downtown Pittsburgh. No admission needed for this festival.
PNC Park
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Pittsburgh Pirates all weekend long!

Rachael's favorite place to get a whiskey sour. Cozy cocktail bar with small bites.
Max's Allegheny Tavern
A Northside fav, traditional German faire in a low key setting. Large menu with large portions!
Senator John Heinz History Center
Huge history museum! Packed full of sports and local history. $20 for two day admission (it's that big!) and admission to the Fort Pitt Museum is included. Here is a picture of Hunter trying on Steelers Super Bowl Rings in the football section of the Sports Center.
Strip District
Tons of restaurants and bars, including the location of the Welcome Party- Aslin Beer Co. There are also lots of specialty shops such as Rachael's favorite place for loose leaf tea is Allegheny Coffee & Tea Exchange. A great place to walk around and window shop!
