Love

After only dating for 5 months we knew we wanted to spend forever together! These past nearly two years have been amazing! We've blended our families, shared many memories, been on adventures, traveled, bought our first house together, played in the mud, adopted two ducklings, planned our wedding and finally planning our forever!!

We were invited to our friends Justin and Danielle's house for a BBQ, the boys had to run out for propane and beers while Danielle and I stayed behind chatting as she finished up the rest of our dinner inside. The guys returned and went out to grill, Gilbert tripped coming into the house, burned our steaks (which he NEVER does) and fumbled his words a bit throughout the night, which I didn't really notice his nerves until after. We finished dinner and I went to use the restroom. Justin caught me when I came out of the bathroom and asked if I could help him with our drinks.... there were only 4 of us and 3 of us had drinks out of cans, but since he just broke his finger the day before I figured maybe he needed a little help?! lol. Once we returned with our cocktails, Gilbert was standing in the middle of the room staring at me, he was very nervous. He caught me off guard and began telling me how he spoke with my dad, that he wanted to give me something. He kissed me and said "I love you, I love you with all my heart" then while getting on his knee is asked "Will you please be my Wife?" - "YES YES YES" I can not wait to be Mrs. Escamillas <3
