FAQs

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We have mostly opted out of a traditional registry and instead would like to ask everyone to bring us a vinyl record.* Maybe this is your favorite album, or something that reminds you of us? Either way we look forward to remembering all of you and this special day for years to come through the music. Not to make this more complicated or anything, but here is a https://docs.google.com/document/d/18DSqFPTF4zfYpLQDFIU61X-GnOAjMjoKzwJMNKTz4WY/edit?usp=drivesdk where you can fill out what album you'll plan to bring so we don't have too many repeats!! *We have an option for contributions to support a devnrachsouthbound part 2! This time to Kilimanjaro. You can find this on our registry page.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have booked the Elkhorn Hot Springs for lodging March 8 and 9. There are stand alone cabins as well as rooms in the lodge. Rooms and cabins have been assigned! Other lodging options include: The Grasshopper Inn and Montana High Country Lodge. If you have a winter camping set up, the parking lot at the ski mountain or hot springs are free range.

Question

What do we need for the hot springs?

Answer

Towel! Swim suit! Goggles! Shower shoes!

Question

If we're staying at Elkhorn, what do you recommend we pack?

Answer

- The above (towels, swimsuit, goggles, etc.) - Water! You can refill water 24/7 at the lodge, but some cabins are located further from the lodge, so we recommend bringing a few gallons to keep in your cabin. - Each cabin is equipped with electricity. There is a small refrigerator, working outlets, and electric heat in every cabin. - Nearly every cabin has a wood stove (we will let you know if yours doesn't). Since every cabin does have electric heat, the wood stove is not required as a source of heat. If you want to practice your fire making skills, you can purchase a bundle wood for $8 from Elkhorn. - Meals are provided throughout your stay, but if you need any late night snacks, sweet treats, or bevvys, bring them! And share if asked :)

Question

March 9 Dress Code?

Answer

APRES SKI! If you want to ski in fun outfits all day, we encourage it! But we hope everyone can dress the Après ski part for the dinner and dance party. Up for interpretation, but we were thinking this could mean... “Classic winter style with a celebratory edge—vintage après-ski vibes, cozy textures (tweed suits, faux fur accents, knits, or velvet) but with a touch of sparkle.” - ChatGPT

Question

Will there be ski rentals at Maverick?

Answer

Yes! But, bring your own gear if possible. If not, rentals should be around $20 for skis, boots, helmets, etc.

Question

If we're not downhill skiers, what can we do?

Answer

Everyone has access to the hot springs of course! There are plenty of cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails on Elkhorn Hot Springs property.

Question

Cross country skiing or snowshoeing ?

Answer

Rentals at Roundhouse Sports in Bozeman! Can borrow some pair of snowshoes from Reed and de Jong families. Bill Reed is looking forward to taking a group out cross country skiing!!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!
