The story of how I met Curtis did not begin as dandelions and butterflies (boy, it sure did become that way, though)! Our friendship started at Sewell Audi, where he was a technician and I had just been promoted to a service advisor. The first time I saw him not in uniform - rainbow colored hair and a large leg tattoo, both of which are covered at work - I remember thinking, what a cool guy, but not necessarily my type. To him, I was some loud-mouthed girl who talked to everyone. Eventually, our circle of friends merged and we found ourselves hanging out more. A particular evening that is memorable for both of us was at a friend's house where we were playing games. We sat next to each other on a bench and unintentionally (while still intentionally, if you know what I mean) kept moving closer and closer until my leg was pressed up against his (or his against mine - same story, different version)! Neither one of us moved, and as cliché and cheesy as it sounds, there were butterflies, and our connection just felt right. Fast forward two months, Curtis and I were inseparable - he came over one night and just never left! The love between us is hard to describe. Curtis is very romantic and creative and does his best to express it. From regular flower deliveries and love notes he leaves me at home and work, to when I came home from a work trip to find hundreds of sticky notes in the shape of a heart on our bathroom mirror (all of which had something he loved about me written on them). I struggle to find the right words to describe my feelings for him, I do know the love overwhelms me. We both definitely agree we are meant for each other and cannot wait to spend the rest of forever together.
