If you are looking to stay for longer than 3/4 nights an airbnb might be your best option. I've included some options here. I suggest looking for homes or condos in the Condado, Isla Verde, Old San Juan, or where the wedding is in Rio Grande if you're looking for a more ~tropical~ setting. I do NOT recommend booking in between Condado - Isla Verde in Ocean Park.

Residence Inn San Juan Isla Verde
Currently some guests have made reservations at the Residence Inn in Isla Verde, as most hotels in San Juan aren't giving us a better rate than Expedia. With all the taxes and resort fees the Residence Inn runs $360/night. If you go on Expedia, you can find cheaper hotels, but beware that the published rate looks affordable but then the resort fees & taxes bring it up close to $400, OR its not refundable. We have not found cheaper hotels that are refundable. The Fairmount (used to be the Old San Juan) is $600/night. Verdanza Hotel is $334/night refundable and rated less than Residence Inn.

Traveling for our wedding? Flying into Puerto Rico Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) is Puerto Rico's main airport, just a 10-15 minute Uber ride to San Juan's main tourism areas (Condado / Old San Juan) and approximately 30-45 minutes to the wedding venue (Hacienda Siesta Alegre). •Getting Around• Uber is the only ride share app available in Puerto Rico and is easily accessible in the metro area. If you plan to extend your stay, consider renting a car from well-known companies at the airport. Taxis are also available throughout the area.
