FAQs

Question

Why in Washington??

Answer

For a long time Rachael and I have talked about moving to Washington, and after our first visit we were even more determined to make it a reality! We got engaged in October of 2024 in Hoh National Rainforest in ONP, and we decided we wanted to come back to have the wedding here as well. We love Washington and although it is a bit difficult to get everyone together there, we really wanted to make the event special as it's a once in a life time event.

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Agate Beach Lodge in Port Angeles Washington! It met both criteria we were looking for, small venue for a more intimate wedding, and the vibes were exactly what we were looking for. Quintessential PNW location for a small private wedding!

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Formal, but please be mindful it may be a bit wet and the venue is beachfront so keep that in mind when picking shoes! Also if you are easily chilled, definitely bring a jacket or something to bundle yourself up with as it gets a bit chilly in Washington in October.

Question

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

Both! The wedding ceremony will be beachfront while the reception will take place inside, along with the cake cutting. Weather allowing!

Question

Where is the closest airport?

Answer

SeaTac/Seattle Tacoma Airport is the closest major airport to the wedding venue, Agate Beach Lodge in Port Angeles, WA!

Question

How far is the wedding venue from the airport?

Answer

It's roughly 3 hours (give or take) from the airport through Downtown Seattle to Port Angeles! You can either take a ferry across the Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island from Downtown Seattle or drive around the Sound and up the Olympic Peninsula for a more scenic drive.
