We're getting married!

Billy and Rachel first met in High School. However, they never really knew each other. In December of 2016, one of Billy and Rachel's friends came home from serving an LDS mission. At their friend's homecoming talk they ran into each other and exchanged numbers. A week later they decided to get together and hang out, they spent the entire night talking about what had happened over the last few years of their lives and learning about one another. And so started the story of Billy and Rachel...

"When we went on our first official date Billy had a broken ankle. The night we were supposed to go on a date it was a blizzard! Honestly, I thought we would reschedule and just hang out instead. But we decided to go out still, and I'm glad we did! We went to get dinner at Zupas and then we went to go see a movie. When we got out of the movie it had snowed so much that there was about a foot of snow on the ground! Billy left his crutches in the car so I helped him back to the car. But I don't know that I helped all that much.. I'm pretty sure he was stepping on his broken foot, I felt so bad! On the way home we jammed out/ sang our hearts out to some Killers and Beyonce. We got home and talked for a bit before calling it a night. Honestly, it could've been terrible but Billy can take any situation and make it fun. It was such a fun and memorable first date!" - Rachel

“Once upon a time, a boy named Billy and a girl name Rachel fell in love. Many people think they fell in love thanks to their shared interest of Super Smash bros or Monopoly Deal, but I believe it is because of their love of Ryan Reynolds. Getting back to the story, Billy decided that he couldn’t take it any longer and decided to ask her to marry him. Leading up to the proposal, He assumed Rachel would be anxious to discover how and when it was going to happen so Billy decided to play a little game. They were going to California for spring break together and he continued to tell her how excited he was for Disneyland! Which led her to believe that it was going to happen there. The day of the proposal, Billy’s friends; Jonny, Austin, and Annelie went and set up for a beach proposal on some beach next to Dana Point. At sunset, Billy then drove Rachel to the beach where he said that Jonny was taking pictures for his photography class. Rachel, thinking the the proposal was going to happen the next day, thought nothing of it. He took Rachel by his sweaty hand and started walking on the beach. Jonny, Austin and Annelie set up a beautiful place for him to propose with candles and a blanket, but Rachel only saw our friends and started to walk towards them. Trying to get her to understand what’s happening said, “Hey Rachel, look how cool it is over here.” Pointing to the blanket, Rachel stopped in her tracks and her mouth dropped wide open. Billy, now his heartbeat beating ever faster, pulled Rachel to the blanket and started to tell her how much she meant to him. What he wanted to say was that he couldn’t imagine life without her and describe how much he loved her. But Billy was so nervous that he wasn’t able to to find any of his words and just decided to ditch all of it and drop to one knee and asked him to marry her. To which she replied, “yes!!.” She then hugged and kissed him and thus started the real story of Billy and Rachel.” - Bilbo
