We’re Getting Married!

On May 25, 2024, at the breathtaking Zumbrum Overlook in Alleghany County, Maryland, Justin asked Maria the easiest question she’s ever answered—"Yes!" What seemed like a simple hiking trip during Justin’s birthday weekend was actually a beautifully orchestrated proposal, surrounded by close friends and family. Justin had planned a cozy getaway to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, and while nearly everyone was in on the secret, Maria had no idea what was coming. The morning of the proposal was picture-perfect. We strolled through historic Berkeley Springs, browsed the antique mall, and toasted the day with a mid-morning martini at The Dirty Olive. Then, under the guise of a scenic hike, we drove 20 minutes to the overlook—where, to Maria’s surprise, Justin got down on one knee. The surprises didn’t end there! When we returned to the cabin, we were greeted with a beautifully decorated space, ready for a night of celebration with our closest friends.
