On another typical rainy Olympia day, Emily and Drew got together with mutual friends. Not knowing one another at all, Emily started a conversation with Drew and asked where he was from. He replied, “Yakima.” Without hesitating, she said, “I’m Sorry.” All Drew could do was laugh, but he loved her sass and wanted to get to know her even more. They went on a date that weekend, and the rest is history.

Emily and Drew got dressed up (a rare occasion) and went to dinner at Yakima Steak Company. Emily had an idea what was going to happen that night, and out of nerves, finished her dinner before Drew- probably the one and only time that will ever happen! Much to her surprise, the proposal did not happen at dinner. A beautiful picnic was set up on the Yakima Country Golf Course for Drew and Emily; a handmade blanket, lit candles, and music waited for their arrival. After some dancing, shared tears, and a little bit of bubbly, Emily said yes!
