If you ask a Quist where to find good wings, a cold beer, and a heartwarming story, they’ll point you straight to O'Malley's. This cozy little pub has been a family favorite for over a decade—and at this point, the owner Jeff is basically an honorary Quist. It’s also where George braved a blizzard (yes, a literal blizzard) to meet Rhett and Amy and ask for their blessing to marry their daughter. So yeah, it’s kind of a big deal. A heads-up for first-timers: if you order meat, you’ll be cooking it yourself on their communal grill. It’s part of the charm—and a great way to bond with strangers over steak. But trust us, the wings are so good they should come with a warning label.
Spruce Meadows Trail
Looking for a little adventure before the big day? Spruce Mountain Trail is a scenic 5.5-mile loop with about 600 feet of elevation gain. The trail winds through shady pine groves and open overlooks, offering stunning views of Pikes Peak, the Front Range—and if you make it to Windy Point, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of Spruce Mountain Ranch, where we’ll be tying the knot! It’s a peaceful, moderate hike perfect for guests of all experience levels. Bring water, comfy shoes, and your best mountain pose.
Garden of the Gods
Garden of the Gods is a Colorado treasure with stunning red rock formations and sweeping views. Enjoy scenic trails for a leisurely walk or a hike, capture incredible photos, and visit the Nature Center to learn about the park’s history and wildlife. Best of all—it’s free and open year-round.
Visit Pikes Peak at 14,000ft
Experience the beauty of “America’s Mountain”! You can drive the scenic Pikes Peak Highway for incredible views or take the historic Cog Railway for a relaxing ride to the summit. At the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramas, visit the Summit Visitor Center, and don’t miss the world-famous Pikes Peak donuts.
