My Fiancé and I met at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Jimmy was already a member of the church and had been going there for a while. Me on the other hand was visiting the church for the first time to see the Christmas play in 2015. My Mother client recommended the church, so we attended. After seeing the play, we fell in love with the church, as well as, the Pastor. We continued going each Sunday, and making it our home church as well. I would notice Jimmy here and there at church, but never said anything to him. One thing I did notice was that, he was handsome. After sometime, I joined the church dance team, which Jimmy was a dance team member as well. So we went from just seeing him on Sundays to seeing him after church for dance practice and outside of church. Eventually, I told my mom that I felt like Jimmy was handsome, but I was too shy to tell him anything. My Mother and Jimmy became “friends “ first, and telling one another “Good Morning .”I still never exchanged any words with Jimmy because we were both shy. Until one day, Jimmy came up to my mom and instead of just telling her “Good Morning”, he asked her “What’s your daughter’s name.” “I’m interested in her”. After church, my mom let me know what he said, and I was so surprised because I felt the same way! I told her I was too shy to say anything, but she said Jimmy seemed shy too so she decided to be the mediator. That day after church, we pulled up to Jimmy’s house which was just across the street. My mom told his sister to tell Jimmy to come outside. He got into our car and we spoke to each other for the first time ever! We were both so nervous we literally sat on two separate sides of the car and barely talked. My Mother suggested that we exchange numbers so we could get to know each other more. After a little while of texting, we asked to meet up outside of church and actually go on a date. We started officially dating May 18, 2016! Our vibe and energy has always been UNMATCHED! We enjoyed each others company so much that once we started hanging out we never wanted to depart. We literally did everything together! When we met, we were just 15 & 16 years old. We knew it was a bond that would last a lifetime!
