While both working in different departments at a nursing home in Connecticut, Quinton's mom, Holly, did some matchmaking. Holly and Natalie worked closely side by side. Little did Natalie know, Holly was doing some setting up behind the scenes. One night, Holly orchestrated for Quinton to make the first move, which ended up in him taping his contact information to Natalie's driver's side window. The next morning, Natalie contacted Quinton, and within a week, they went on their first date to a drive-in movie theater. And the rest is history.

Between their busy work schedules, Quinton and Natalie finally had time to get away and relax. While their main plan for this vacation with relaxation, they thought one fun excursion would be ideal. They booked a week long trip to Florida with plans to do one whole day at Disney World and the rest in St. Augustine. Their goal was to hit all four parks at Disney World with Natalie’s cousin, Gabby, and her boyfriend, Alex. Though Natalie was secretly hoping that maybe Quinton would propose, she really didn’t think he would, as he was acting so relaxed and nonchalant. Natalie expected that Quinton would be acting nervous or strange as he always told her that he planned to ask her parents for their blessing, however he never showed any inkling that he had a secret plan. A few days before leaving, Quinton (with the help of Natalie’s brother Steven) met with her parents to let them know of his plan and ask for their blessing. Natalie also didn’t suspect anything because her parents were acting as if nothing important was happening, which she thought she would at least be able to tell something was up while talking with them. Safe to say, she had no clue. After arriving in Orlando and getting ready for the day at Disney, Natalie noticed that Quinton was putting his set of keys (with keys that are only used back in Connecticut) in his pocket. Natalie questioned Quinton why he needed to bring the keys with him as none of the keys on the keychain would be used. Quinton said, “I just like to have them with me”. Natalie told Quinton that he could end up losing them, and said he wasn’t worried about it. Little did Natalie know, Quinton attached the engagement ring on a ring on the keychain so he could easily bring it into the parks without her knowing. While at Animal Kingdom, Quinton quietly told Gabby and Alex about his plan to propose at Epcot, which is a park that holds special memories for Natalie and Quinton as it was the first place they went on vacation together in the beginning of their relationship. Gabby was ready to take all the photo and videos when the time came. After dinner at Epcot, the group of four went to the newly remodeled garden in front of the globe at Epcot. While taking pictures, Quinton got down on one knee and said “Will you marry me?”. Natalie was completely shocked and said “Yes!”. They then had professional pictures taken at Epcot around the different countries. They popped a bottle of Champagne to share with Gabby and Alex to celebrate.
