Ring Pop

April 10, 2022

RING POP APRIL 10, 2022 I asked Ternitta was she a materialistic female, and her answer was, “no.” So, I asked would it matter what kind of ring I gave you if I was to ask for your hand in marriage? Her response again was, “no.” A few months later, she was opening up a new daycare dedicated to her mom. While at the daycare, preparing for the celebration, her sister, Cassandra, said to me; “Hey brother, when are you gonna marry my sister?” I looked at her like WHAT??? I cant believe she asked me this in front of Ternitta’s father and brother. Ternitta’s brother, Terrance, automatically chimed in, “That’s a good question! As a matter of fact, I even have the ‘ring’!” He reached into his pocket, and handed me a ring pop. Naturally, I laughed it off and exited the premises. Later that day, we held an after party with family and friends at our home. While Ternitta was playing cards, not paying me any attention. I asked; “Were you serious about marrying me. No matter how much the ring costs?” She replied, “I said yes.” So I reached into my pocket, and pulled out the ring pop I received from her brother earlier, and asked, “Well, will you marry me?” Without a second thought responded, “Yes!” I then placed the ring pop on her finger. The guests went crazy, yelling and applauding. Everyone but her dad. He said, “Oh no, we don’t do that. Especially, specially, not with no candy ring.” So I reached back into my pocket to retrieve the diamond ring. Which surprised her, and everyone else! She immediately became extremely excited, and began to cry tears of joy!
