We both completed undergraduate at University of Wisconsin- Whitewater but had never formally met. A mutual friend of ours "added" Quintin on my Facebook (thanks, D!). A few weeks later, I went to UW- Whitewater homecoming, while Quintin was probably home milking the cows. The Monday after homecoming, Quintin sent me a DM, "How was good ol' Whitewater homecoming?", and boy after that, was I smiling ear to ear! Small talk over the internet, turned into the first dinner date, which ended with the most awkward side hug! On my drive home, I called my gf Dana, and told her there was no way there was ever going to be a second date! Well, little did I know, as I pulled into my driveway, I had an unread text from Quintin about how he was looking forward to the next time he'd see me. At that time, little did he know, there would be a lot more of me around ;)

A very hot and sunny summer day (July 5th to be exact!), Quintin finished up with his morning chores and came in the house for the usual, breakfast and talking about what we had in mind for the day. Quintin asked to go pick blackberries in the field. Sun burned, tired from the day before, and not exactly wanting to spend the day in 100 degree weather, I mentioned going to go look at flooring (in the air condition, ya know). Quintin insisted on blackberry picking. So we went blackberry picking... As we were driving the four wheeler around some of his first choice fields, we were finding not many blackberries. Quintin drove to his next field of choice (above our house) and we started finding some big ol' juicy berries (yes!). I'm ahead of Quintin (picking berries as fast as I can bc at this point I am d.o.n.e) and he says my name. I turn around and he is struggling to put on a shirt he had tucked into his shorts the whole time! I take a closer look AND IT IS THE SHIRT HE TOLD ME HE WOULD WEAR WHEN HE PROPOSES!!!!! ("Not in the Mooooooooood") Well this took a pretty quick turn! I start side shuffling/walking away, telling Quintin, "you're so weird, come on", practically running away from him ;) Quintin told me to get back there, so I did. What he said after that really didn't make too much sense, besides, "Will you marry me?". Easiest.Decision.Ever. YES!
